Problem: Outdoory’s listings had essentially out-grown the previous layout. One of the major downsides to this was the contribution to a lower SEO score. Despite best practices in SEO, this was still significant enough to warrant a redesign.
Solution: Working with a consulting team including analytics and subject matter experts, we researched and determined what information users wanted to see initially when the listing is displayed. It is paramount the our changes improve click throughs and not work against the user. With research leading the process, I redesigned the layout and components accordingly including linking modules, listing cards, site map and Call to Action buttons.
